Welcome to the DJ Val new look website.  

For those who don't already know who DJ Val is here's my short bio.

Born and bred in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) I've always had a passion for music. I know that this is what every DJ and music producer says, but some of them don't have the passion in their soul. My first love was for trance music, I think this came about from my head banging nightclub escapades during my wild teenage years, and boy were they wild!!.  I actually turn red just thinking about them, those sure were the good old days.

I moved to the UK 7 years ago and am still getting used to the way of life here, I know I should be over the culture shock, but these things take time for me. But I have to get used to get my roots planted firmly here as this is now home.

I only started mixing and remixing 3 years ago. It was then in 2006 that I have the pleasure of meeting my best friend and mixing partner, Dornan In The Mix aka Jim  We met on Mixupload one of if not the biggest DJ Promotion website on the net.  Jim and I formed our djing duo team coming up with our Mix Series, all in all we have mixed up a massive 13 mixes. Work is currently under way for our 14th of the Mix Series mix compilations.

My main genre that I love to mix is House Music, from Funky to Vocal and of course everything in between.  I do like to dabble in Trance as trance was the music that I raved to in my teenage years. Trance was the music that made me decide that my future would somehow be involved with the music scene.

You just have to love music, can you imagine the world without it, gosh perish that thought.

Besides finding great music here, I plan to also write some articles based on music topics that I'm always being asked about. An exciting part of the website that is currently being constructed is for access to video tutorials on djing for all those newbies who are thinking about making a career out of djing and/or remixing.
